Sooo... after dragging my feet. Plus running into my best GF and sharing a lane with her at the pool today I signed up for Oceanside half. I was secretly hoping inside that this race was sold out but low and behold it was open soooo...... Here I go.

Our ride that turned into a nice long walk

Saturday Mark, Sydney and I went for a nice 6 1/2ish mile run.... Usually a short run in my normal run week however since my injury in February I've been on the comeback and this was my long run for the week. I've been running 4-5 miles on Wednesdays and trying to run one to two more days a week which has been hit and miss. Running is the only thing lacking in my workout routines. I've been killing the bike to say the least. upping the milage and riding almost every day of the week. So our 50 mile bike ride today (Sunday) turned into a morning lounging around and than an afternoon walk with Sydney. Here's what we saw on our walk.

It was really windy and kind of cold down there. Probably why it seemed to be a hot bed for the windsurfers. Mark seems to have taken an interest in that sport. I think I want to try paddle boarding first.

Secretly I'm happy our ride was postponed today because of the mega miles this past week and track starts Monday night and my next rest day would have been Thursday (10 days of solid workouts later) ouch!! Lounging around on a Sunday is so rare.... I forgot what it's like (kind of nice). Have a great rest of the weekend!!
